Don't be afraid to ask for pictures or videos as many as you'd like we are always happy to accommodate. Request a video with the breeder holding the pup and talking about it! A in person visit is always nice but in the busy life we all lead sometimes a four-hour drive isn't feasible when a video can be gotten so easily
Google the business name, google the breeders name if you find neither that's suspicious. Also Google their phone number and address. This will let you know if they even exist.
Once you have done the first two items and you feel secure its deposit time. This isn't an odd request from a breeder. But the securest way to send a deposit is by Paypal because you can get your money back from them in a dispute. Have the Breeder send you a business invoice for an item/good listing what the deposit is for. Some like to send checks and or money orders if you mail anything I highly reccomment to add tracking that just lets you and the breeder know it was sent and if it gets lost
Add a footnote if this applies to your business
